Preparation Instructions:
To begin this recipe, you will first want to score both sides of your steaks using a sharp kitchen knife. Next add a thin later of garlic powder to each side of the steaks, then sprinkle on the bacon salt and pepper. You will want to rub and press the seasonings into the meat. Next take out a plastic container, toss in your seasoned steaks, and then pour the Coca-Cola over the top of them. Place a lid over your container, slide the container into the refrigerator, and then let your steaks marinate for four full hours. Make sure to flip your steaks over about once per hour, as this will ensure an even distribution of flavor. Once the steaks have been properly marinated, slap on a nice healthy coating of barbecue sauce, making sure to evenly coat all of the meat. You are now ready to fire up your backyard grill to high heat. Using a grill brush, oil your grate with vegetable oil, then place your steaks onto the grill. You will want to sear each side for about two to three minutes, this will lock in the juices. Moving along, next reduce your heat, and then let the steaks simmer on low heat for about ten minutes per side. It is at this point that you will want to add your bacon to the top of each of the steaks. When the bacon is nice and crisp, that is a good indication your steaks are done, and ready to serve. When your steaks are done cooking, slap on another thin layer of fresh barbecue sauce before serving them, then allow the steaks to sit for about four minutes before serving. That concludes this delicious recipe, please be sure to check out our other barbecued steak recipes.
