Preparation Instructions:
To begin this recipe you will first need to pull out a small mixing bowl. Add into the mixing bowl the ground sea salt, brown sugar, garlic powder, ground cumin, onion powder, smoked hot paprika, chili powder, chipotle chile powder, coarse ground black pepper, and fresh squeezed lime juice. Using a metal whisk, rapidly stir these ingredients together until you have an even and consistent steak rub mix. Next up you'll want to toss your flat iron steaks on to a clean surface, and thoroughly rub them down with the rub mix. Make sure you get an even coating of steak rub on both sides of the steaks. Once the steaks are well seasoned, tightly wrap each steak in plastic kitchen wrap, and then toss those steaks into the refrigerator to marinate in the seasonings for about eight hours. This will give your meat enough time to really soak in all of those delicious herbs and spices. Moving ahead, once your steaks are done marinating, fire up your barbecue, and grease your grill grate with sesame oil. You will then want to grill your flat iron steaks over medium high heat for about four minutes per side, or until they have reached a desired doneness. Allow your steaks to cool for about five minutes before slicing them. We hope you have enjoyed this recipe, please don't forget to bookmark us so you can come visit us again in the near future.
